Summary
This article demonstrates how to edit the connection string for a database template within Enterprise Enabler (EE).
Requirements
- Enterprise Enabler version 5.x
- Database AppComm
Edit the connection string
Open an existing database template by clicking File » Open » Template » Source Template.
The Select Source Template window opens up.
Select the template and click on the 
button and the selected template opens.
Click on the 
button in the Template Attributes area and the EE Connection String Builder window opens.
Click on the folder icon 
and select a Microsoft Access database file. Provide User ID and Password if required.
After selecting the file, click on the 
button. Click on the 
button to make sure that we have a valid connection to the Microsoft Access database and then click on the 
button when done. Then the source template definition window opens.
Please note that if the database schema is the same, then the user must click the 
button in the EE Template Definition – Delete Template dialog window to preserve the template definition, otherwise, the existing template definition will be deleted.
Save the template
Click on the Template toolbar.
Click on the 
button to save the template and the Update Template dialog window opens.
Click on the 
button to update the template or click on the 
button to cancel the changes.
