This article demonstrates how to create a source template.


Requirements

  1. Enterprise Enabler version 5.x
  2. Database AppComm


Create a connection string for the Database template

Open Enterprise Enabler and create a new template by clicking File » Template » Source Template » Database » Microsoft Access.



The EE Connection String Builder opens up.



Click on the folder icon  and select a Microsoft Access database file. Provide User ID and Password if required, otherwise, it may be omitted.



After selecting the proper file, click on the  button. Click on the

  button to make sure that you have a valid connection to the Microsoft Access database and then click on the  button when done. The source template definition window opens.




Create a template

Select a table name from Block/Table Name dropdown and click on Column toolbar.



Click on the  button and all the columns from the selected table are pulled into the Template Details area.




Create a block key column

Select the column from the Template Details area to be designated as the block key column.



Click on the Column toolbar.



Then click on the  button. Click on the Block Key checkbox in the 

Column Attributes area.



Click on the  button and now you have a block key column designated

in the template.




Edit the connection string

Please refer to the How to Edit Connection String for Database article.


Save the template

Specify the template name, category and other parameters.



Click on the Template toolbar.



Click on the  button to save the template.
