Stone Bond implemented a solution to extract production data from OSIsoft's PI System data historian within a two week period. Data was reformatted and aligned with business requirements (from operations view to business view) and put in a centralized Oracle database which was designed as a staging area for all such data. According to people involved in the project, at the time, PDVSA's database was the largest PI System in the world, and no third party had been successful in implementing the connectivity to date because of the size.
