VIEW WEBINAR ON SBT'S AFFYMETRIX GENECHIP-COMPATIBLE SOFTWARE FOR AUTOMATION OF SAMPLE REGISTRATION AND DATA RETRIEVAL

Affymetrix^® GeneChip^® Operating Software (GCOS) is utilized for registering sample and experiment information before scanning the GeneChip. After the acquisition of the image file, GCOS is further utilized to analyze the image and acquire the .cel and .chp files for data analyses.

Centralizing control of various software and hardware using LIMS leads to an integrated platform which can result in consistent, accurate, non-redundant, and reliable workflow tracking. In this regard it is important to have bi-directional integration between LIMS and the Affymetrix software/hardware.
